Dandy's PlaySafe Play Area Bark is a lovely natural product that is tested for impact so approved for use on playgrounds as a cushioning material - make sure you protect those little heads in case they come off the slide too fast or go right over the bar on the swings!
This is also a decorative bark so it's great for smartening up shabby beds and borders and for surrounding your best plants and shrubs to really show them off to their best.
Play Bark is tested to BSEN1177 which is a fall height standard - do please remember that this is a natural wood product so if the kids start rolling through it they are likely to still get splinters - if you're worried about that then you may want to consider rubber chippings or play sand instead.
We can supply you with 3 sizes of bulk bag:
- Jumbo Bulk Bag which contains approx 1000ltrs (one cubic metre)
- Standard Bulk Bag contains about 750ltrs (same as most builders merchants)
- Half Bulk Bag contains approx 500ltrs
Small Handy Bags are approximately 50ltrs and the perfect option if you want a small quantity or if you have access issues and will need to carry through your house or over any walls etc.

Standard Delivery is currently between 3 - 15 working days.
Next Working Day may be available depending on your location; please select an option at the checkout (this will vary during Christmas and over bank Holidays).
We use a variety of delivery vehicles and haulage firms to complete our deliveries.
If you live in or near Chester, we'll deliver to you ourselves with a HGV crane, if you live elsewhere in the UK we'll use a pallet network who will use a manually operated pallet truck to move the pallet of bag(s) to the kerbside or onto a level, solid surface such as a tarmac drive (not gravel or grass sorry).
Shipping is free to Cheshire, Flintshire, Wrexham, Manchester, Merseyside and Liverpool - outside of this area prices start at £19.95.

Bark, Mulch and Compost

m2 x 0.05 = cubic metres per 2 inch/50mm depth
Garden Lawn Turf
Length (m) X Width (m) = amount of rolls needed. We advise that you order 10% extra so that you have plenty for offcuts.
Natural Stone Paving
Length (m) X Width (m) = m2 you need. Our packs are 15.25m2.
Gravel and Slate
Length (m) X Width (m) = m2
m2 x 0.04 = tonnes per 1 inch/25mm depth
Crusherrun
Use the Gravel Calculator then multiply by 1.25 (= tonnes per inch)
Conversion:

Samples are sent with Royal Mail 2nd class service so please allow 3 to 5 working days (please allow extra during Royal Mail Strikes).
Samples are chosen at random and naturally occurring products may vary slightly in shade and particle size, from load to load.
This is a small amount of product that will fit in your hand, approx 100gms per sample.
